First Grade Robotics

Robotics is up and running! It was a fun afternoon watching first graders explore

the Lego® WeDo "Glowing Snail". The students did an awesome job building their snails and programming them to blink different colors, as well as make various sounds. Since this app uses drag-and-drop (block) programming, the students had an opportunity to fine tune their mouse skills while having fun. It was great to see how such a simple project gave the kids an opportunity to get creative! They all programmed different arrangements of colors and sounds. We finished up with a photo op and show-and-tell session. The kids were excited to share with their friends what their snails could do!
